This book caught and held my interest. Usually I do not enjoy travel books, or anything that sounds remotely like "Eat, Pray, Love". The sisters backpacking trip around the world was usually fun, but not without missteps and mistakes which they managed to overcome with varying amounts of grace and determination. I was caught up in the descriptions of the out of the way islands and the stories of the unique people living or visiting them. There are lot of different ways and places to live a happy and full life. This book explored many I had never considered.
What a fun, interesting story of April and DeeDee traveling around the world and the real life obstacles they had to face. Multiple times reading this book I thought "What would I have done?" Thank you April -)
The Momma's and Poppa's sang Go Where You Wanna Go, Do What You Wannna Do, and Ms. Edsberg hit it out of the ballpark. I always wanted to hop on a box car and see where it'd take me, but she actually did better than that. Sit back and enjoy the book. If you're debating getting it, get a grip--spend the seven dollars and get the kindle. . .it's worth every cent. Ms. Edsberg, I'm pea green with envy.
Chapter 25 puts new meaning to "free at last". No, you have to read it. Now, I have another to do on my bucket list. Thank you for the book.
