I was looking forward to reading The Princess. The book description sounded intriguing - different than the ordinary romance read. And, yes, it was different, but not in a pleasurable way. I really wanted to like Marina. A strong woman in the Army with serious skills, both physical and mental. She was intelligent and manipulative, as you would expect a spy to be, but the author didn't talk much about her internal conflict, and before you know it she is in love. I didn't get the leap into love. And for about 2/3 of the book Marina is docile and subdued and in love and I just didn't buy it. It didn't make sense to me - how could this tough soldier who is used to taking care of herself, just fold? There were moments that she unexpectedly took charge, yet it seemed as if the author just threw it in for points. The sexual relationship between Marina and Karim was tender and sweet at times and then jarringly violent at others. The Princess left me feeling very unsettled in an unpleasant way. Maybe that was the author's intent. If you are looking for a tender, sweet, romance story, this is definitely not it. It was however, an interesting story about life for very wealthy royalty in an middle eastern country.Product details

Loved the story and romance! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a good book to read. Couldn't put it down, couldn't wait to see what happened next.
I truly enjoyed this book. When I read I like to be transported elsewhere. Reading is my escape. This book gives that and more! You will fall in love with the characters and the surroundings.
I found a recommendation from a reader on a blog that I frequent. I looked like something I would really enjoy, so I ended up getting it. I was not at all disappointed!
From beginning to end, I absolutely loved this book.
Marina is a super secret spy sent to spy on a middle eastern prince. Things are going really well until he asks her out. She ends up going back home with him and the lines get blurred. Can still do her job or will she jeopardize everything for him?
This book constantly had me at the edge of my seat. I couldn't put it down.
